a little something to look forward to

Its been a while since I posted and a lot has happened lately. There have been some very trying times and challenges we've been facing that I don't think I'm quite ready to share. But on the bright side, we booked a week long trip to Paris in June that is giving me something to look forward to.

Because of all my crazy travel, we used my Marriott points to book a free week at the fancy Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel which, as the name suggests, is right near the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysées Avenue. A week exploring one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world is going to be incredible. Plus my husband speaks French so it should be much easier to get around and appreciate the city.
Any Paris tips? I went years ago when I was too young to appreciate Paris so tips and advice would be much appreciated.

  2. that hotel looks amazing - we walked by it several times and admired it from afar. :) just relax and enjoy! and if you are going up in the eiffel tower, i would get there early b/c the lines are crazy! you'll have an amazing time even if you do nothing touristy...

  3. I'm insanely jealous! You must have so many Marriott points for a whole free week. I'll check with some of my friends who frequently visit Paris and let you know if they have any tips. :-)

  4. I'm definitely jealous of your upcoming travels. Please take lots of pictures of macarons at La Duree or Pierre Herme for me.
